The Forest Municipal School District Board of Trustees took time during the “Celebrate Success” segment of the August Board Meeting to recognize some of the outstanding accomplishments that continue to make a difference across our district.
Pre-K Excellence
Our Pre-K Team was recognized for an outstanding first year of implementation during the 2025–2026 school year! Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing our youngest Bearcats with a strong educational foundation resulted in outstanding results through the Rate of Readiness evaluation process. What an incredible accomplishment!
WIT (What It Takes) Awards
Mrs. Shameka Longmire, Central Office Receptionist and Transportation Department Secretary, received the WIT Award for helping ensure our Transportation Department got the new school year off to a smooth start. Her willingness to step up and do *what it takes* is greatly appreciated!
Dr. Reagan Shoemaker, Federal Programs Director, was also recognized with a WIT Award for going the extra mile to make our beginning-of-year staff activities a little more special by providing loaded tea gift certificates for our staff survey winners. Thank you, Dr. Shoemaker, for helping us celebrate and encourage our staff!

Forest High School kicked off its first regular-season football game with an exciting pep rally filled with Bearcat pride, school spirit and plenty of energy!
That excitement carried right onto the field as our Bearcats soared to an impressive 37–18 victory over Lake High School! Congratulations to our players, coaches, cheerleaders, band and everyone who helped make the season opener a winning one!

The Forest Municipal School District is excited to welcome our new and returning Bearcats! Please review the attached registration flyers for important dates, times, and the documents you'll need to make the process as smooth as possible.
📍IMPORTANT REGISTRATION REMINDER:
For RETURNING STUDENTS, registration will take place at each school campus. If your family has children attending more than one FMSD school, please plan to complete registration at each child's assigned campus, as students must be registered at the school they will attend.
For students NEW TO THE DISTRICT, registration will take place Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Forest Elementary School Cafeteria.
