The Forest High School Bearcats tennis team opened the 2026 season in dominant fashion, earning a 7–0 sweep over the Pelahatchie Chiefs in their first match of the year. The #BearcatSweep showcased the depth, discipline, and determination of the entire roster, with strong performances across both singles, doubles, and mixed doubles play.
Head Coach Skye Nelson expressed pride in the team’s effort, noting the hard work and preparation that led to the season-opening win. “I am extremely proud of all of our players,” Nelson said. “They’ve been putting in the work, supporting one another, and it showed on the court. They did a great job yesterday, and this is just the beginning.”
Assistant Coach Logan Grant also praised the team’s focus and energy as they set the tone for the season. With momentum on their side, the Bearcats continue to play by their team motto: “From Forest to the Finals, we play with heart.”
