Educational Goals for English Language Learners

The goals of the Forest Municipal School District is to provide all students, including those whose first language is one other than English, a quality education that develops the whole child to his or her greatest potential.  Goals specific to English Language Learners [EL] are the following:

Goal 1: an annual increase in the number or percentage of students making progress in learning English

Goal 2: an annual increase in the number or percentage of students attaining English language proficiency

Goal 3: an increasing ability to participate meaningfully in the educational program
