General Rules for Child Nutrition

Breakfast and lunch are “Provision II.”    (All students in the district eat breakfast and lunch free.)

Adult breakfast is $2.25.  Adult lunch is $3.50.

No commercial packages are allowed in the cafeteria by students or staff.  (Examples: McDonalds, Subway, KFC, Wendy’s, etc)

No canned or bottled sodas are allowed in the cafeteria by students or staff.

The Forest Municipal School District has adopted a Wellness Policy with commitments to nutrition, physical activity, comprehensive health education, marketing, and implementation. This policy is designed to effectively utilize school and community resources and to equitably serve the needs and interests of all students and staff, taking into consideration differences in culture.


As parents, please work with us in seeing that your child chooses nutritious foods at home. It is also important that children are involved in activities that promote physical well being.

Forest Municipal School District is proud to announce that all three schools in the district are USDA Healthier US School Gold Award of Distinction winners.  This award runs from March 2013-March 2017. Congratulations to Armer Moore and her Food Service Staff!

Congratulations to Mrs. Armer Moore for being selected the MS Child Nutrition Director of the Year.  She is pictured with Dr. Joseph White, Superintendent of FMSD, and Dr. David Daigneault, Grenada Superintendent and MASA President. She was recognized at the Fall MASA Conference in Jackson, MS on October 15.
